          Boberger Niederung nature reserve
          One of the most beautiful and most diverse nature reserves in terms of flora and fauna is located in the south-east of the Hanseatic city and embodies the main landscape areas of Hamburg in one piece: the Geest, which is up to 30 meters high (in the north and north-east), the inland dunes (in the center of the nature reserve), the Achtermoor as a relic of the marginal moor zone (in the west) and further south the areas of the Marsch (Billwerder).
          If you want to get to know the landscape, you should stick to the four main hiking trails for a hike. They are each marked with a symbol, are between three and five kilometers long and lead through the individual landscape formations.

          The moor path, signposted with a bird, runs around and through the Achtermoor - the dune path, accompanied by a butterfly, over the large main dune. A rabbit shows the meadow path through the marsh landscape and finally a flower beckons to the terrace path past orchid slopes, forests and dry grassland. There are hiking maps for the individual paths with descriptions of the respective flora and fauna in the information center.
