Today we covered the second 50+ km this weekend with the aim of completing a total of 100km in two stages and within 24 hours on the track. The focus was on the route. In view of the high temperatures, there was no real talk of enjoyment. Anyway, it was nice. 😊

For reasons, a large part of the MegaMarsch events in 2020 has been canceled / postponed.
Instead, virtual events with free planning take place. We are doing two 50s this weekend, each starting in Frankfurt at the Friedensbrücke. Today we went to Hanau and tomorrow to Flörsheim.
It was nice. 😊 And pretty hot.

At the Main Tower in OF-Bürgel, we borrowed a 2-seater kayak for 4 hours today. The section between the two barrages Kaiserlei and Dietesheim may be driven on. We drove the 8km upstream, the current is almost negligible. From time to time, Poser makes a bit of a "wave", but the rental kayaks are very good-natured and pretty safe from capsizing. It was nice, deeply relaxing and highly recommended. 😊

Friends are spending their vacation on the Südeichsfeld, our home. Together with them, we started a round from Geismar, which initially led us along a path to the Hülfensberg. The church at the Franciscan monastery is the destination of several pilgrimages. However, you have to master a few vertical meters in order to enjoy the wonderful view and the tranquility of the place. Take your time From there we continued on the column path towards Lengenfeld. While the column route served the border guards of the GDR as a feeder to the border facilities, today you can walk the 1,000 km long former inner German border on the concrete slabs.
In Lengenfeld we took a close look at the viaduct, which, however, can only be used with the trolleybuses of the cannon railway, but must not be entered. From there we went back to Geismar along the tracks. It was nice.
PS: We briefly sought protection from a downpour in the Boniface chapel on the Hülfensberg. Hence the wild jumping coordinates ...

When visiting the Eichsfeld, the paddle boards are now always with you. The two-kilometer-long Werratalsee with its two islands and varied shores is always interesting. Thanks to strong headwinds, progress was slow at first.

Today we borrowed a third board for Marc again at the Kollersee. One time to the mouth and back. Then picnic on the south bank. It was nice. 😊 PS: parking now costs € 4.50.

Today it was back in the hot weather with the paddle boards to the Kollersee. A big round to the mouth of the Rhine and a long reading break before a small final round around one of the small islands. It's amazing how many SUPs are on the road now.
And since I forgot to stop the recording, you can also see where you can park here (for a fee of € 4 / day). It was nice. 😊

A spontaneous small round at Fischbachtal-Steinau was planned for this afternoon. Not much could go wrong following the Alemanni path. In order to avoid ticks, you should still follow it until after the Wildweibchenstein.

Claudia and Uwe went on a very relaxed lap today. In the beginning we were off-track a few times, but then we focused a little more. It was nice. 😊

Admittedly, the Prince of Hesse is a little cramped. You share the water with anglers, triathletes and swimmers. There is little going on in the morning. It was nice. 😊
