The Steinbek church, located on top of the Geest slope, is a symbol visible from afar.
A church on the Geest slope on the Glinder Au has been the center of Kirchsteinbek since 1239 and gave the former village its name.
Today, the third church here is a building from 1883-84, built according to plans by Otto Ritscher. The neo-Gothic brick hall church has rich cement cast ornaments.
After bomb damage in World War II, it was modernized in 1954 and the brick inside was whitewashed. Gravestones from the 16th and 17th centuries and the candlesticks from the baroque predecessor building are reminders of the long history of the parish.kirche-in-steinbek.de/kirchsteinbek/raum/die-kirchsteinbeker-kirche

Today's Steinbeker Church (Dreieinigkeitskirche) dates from 1884 and is located on the Geestrand, so that it is a landmark that can be seen from afar. It was built according to plans by Otto Ritscher. Inside there are two chandeliers from 1679 and 1719, which come from the previous church.Source: de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hamburg-Billstedt
