Bielefeld-Senne and Concarneau have been German-French twin cities since 1969.
Concarneau is located 24 kilometers south of Quimper on the south coast of Brittany on the Atlantic."... Concarneau was established as a port for sardine fishing in the 10th century and was expanded into a trading town and fortress in the Middle Ages. The 20,000 inhabitants still live mainly from fishing, trading and processing "Attracts many tourists to the picturesque Breton town.
