The view is wonderful. Unfortunately, the sound harp in my eyes and ears is a single disappointment.

Beautiful view in forest and vastness, plus the mystical sounds that even lead the dog to listen.

Looking for the village of "Augebich"
The village is said to have stood around this place at the "Natursteig-Sieg", with the sound harp next to the bench, in the hallway name Pattscheid.
The year is 1632/33. The 30 Years War will not end for a long time. The village of Augebich, which, by the way, is marked on a Mercator map from 1575 in the Padscheid corridor, very close to today's Ohmbach and the Heilbrunnen, so this village of Augebich has not yet noticed the war until this day. Now, however, in 1632, the Swedish Count Baudissin invades Bergisch; he loots, loots, burns and murders in Augebich. Those who escape the killing will soon die in a terrible devastation of the plague.
In 1921, when the forest was cleared, the remains of the village were found: water canals, remains of walls, we even heard of a cemetery. But what kind of people were those who lived in Augebich? Old kilns suggest that farmers and charcoal burners must have lived here.
