In Rengsdorfer Land / Wiedtal, the hiking maps in the parking lots point to countless of these local circular routes, and on the way in the region I have come across the black and yellow markings several times. Today I tried one of these paths without any additional maps and I am thrilled. From start to finish, this forest-rich circuit is reliably and reliably marked. In the second half, the route runs for a few kilometers on a sparsely traveled forest road, but it didn't bother me today because of the lovely brook valley.
The highlight and worth a trip on its own is the lookout from the approx. 20 meter high water tower. If you have dared to go up to the top, there is a breathtaking panoramic view.

Actually, I had intended another round, which is why there are a few small errors in the record. In principle, however, it is a beautiful route / area and the ascent to the Malberg is worthwhile. Even more, of course, if management is possible there again ..

Nature and trails “pure” and the Sieg in large parts close to each other - a really typical, somewhat demanding circular route from the natural region of Sieg.
Follow the yellow access path from Saal 1.3 km. Pass the red brick building and take a sharp right onto the blue marked path towards Dattenfeld.
At approx. 3.8 km you reach the wonderful Sieghöhentrail, which leads to Dattenfeld. At the bridge steep left up to Bikers Rast (unfortunately still closed at the moment), from here on towards Herchen. At the Bodelschwingh Gymnasium, leave the natural path for a while (right) and instead follow the marking H for the Heilbrunnenweg Rtg for almost a kilometer. Ohmbach. The paths lead to each other again in the further course. With this I save a steep ascent and descent around Igelshof. A wonderful trail leads to the Heilbrunnen and from there back up to the top. The massive deforestation is always shocking.
The last kilometer on the yellow-marked path towards the hall begins at the wind harp.
