    The old cross was first mentioned in 1593. The Atonement or Memorial Cross commemorates an unpunished outrage or a buried dead in unconsecrated ground.
    Later it served as a landmark and was implemented several times. Whether there is a connection with the Dernbacher "Galgenberg", is no longer detectable.
