Our ancestors buried their dead in burial mounds, of which you can still see five mounds here. They are probably part of a burial ground from the period 800 to 500 BC. Chr.
The people who lived here at that time were farmers. They tilled the higher ground and let their cattle graze in the creek valley. On their way from the fields and the settlement into the valley, they passed the burial mounds, which were only a stone's throw from the stream.

You walk along the hills via a small loop in the forest. The junction is near the entrance (where you will find the general information board).
