This body of water is a lake of glacial origin (natural) raised by a dam and thus extending the surface of Lake Ossoue. It is installed at the bottom of Oulettes d'Ossoue.

The term “oulette” refers to a small circus in Occitan. So you have a lake in the middle of a circus: a guaranteed spectacle.
