    The natural monument Bornhalmscher Steinbruch is a natural monument designated in 1982 by the county of Bentheim with an area of approximately 9 hectares. It is located on the northern edge of the Gildehaus development in the urban area of Bad Bentheim. The site is also known as the Gildehaus Geological Open Air Museum or the Am Romberg Quarry. It is a former sandstone quarry where Lower Cretaceous sandstones were extracted.
