In einer Schneepause ging es los mit dem Ziel Kloster Lüne. Die Pause war bereits nach 5 Minuten vorbei und es kamen viele, dicke und nasse Schneeflocken von oben und alles Seiten. Aus den geplanten 10 km wurden dann auch nur 6,5 km. Schön wars, aber auch nass und kalt. Die Wege teilweise rutschig und viele Pfützen mussten umkurvt werden. Das Kloster Lüne (gegründet 1172) ist ein ehemaliges Benediktinerinnenkloster und heutiges evangelisches Damenstift in der Stadt Lüneburg. Die Weberei im alten Betsaal des Klosters Lüne gibt es seit 1948 und hier wird immer noch von 4 Weberinnen wertvolles Tuch gewebt.

2026 beginnt bei uns mit einer Stadtführung in Lüneburg. 3 Grad, viel Wind und trocken ist es auch nicht. Aber wir haben eine Stadtführung gebucht und mit weiteren 8 Personen und Bruder Jakob machen wir uns auf den Weg. Eine Stadtführung der etwas anderen Art! Es war sehr windig, es war kalt, es war nass von oben, aber es war trotzdem sehr schön. Bruder Jakob hat uns 1,5 Stunden mit seiner launigen Art durch die Altstadt geführt und uns bestens unterhalten. Besser kann ein Jahr nicht beginnen. Euch allen wünschen wir einen genauso guten Start ins Neue Jahr!

Es ging es raus in die Natur. Bei frostigen -2 Grad und strahlendem Sonnenschein ging es Stadtauswärts an die Ilmenau. An dieser entlang in den Wilschenbruch. Der Wilschenbruch ist ein verzweigtes Waldstück am Rande der Salz- und Hansestadt Lüneburg. Zwischendurch kamen wir auch immer wieder mal der Ilmenau ganz Nahe. Es war eine richtig schöne Tour. Der Frost hat alles sehr schön aussehen lassen. Die Teufelsbrücke: Gebaut wurde die Teufelsbrücke 1893/94, was sie zur Ältesten der 58 Brücken in Lüneburg macht. Teufelsbrücke heißt sie angeblich, weil sie über ein ehemaliges Sumpfgebiet führt, das im Mittelalter Düvelsbrook, also Teufelsbruch genannt wurde.

Entlang der Ilmenau ging es bis zum Heideexpress, der Museumseisenbahn. Die für uns aber enttäuschend runtergekommen ist. Wieder an der Ilmenau entlang zum Kreidebergsee, um diesen herum und über den Kreideberg weiter zum Kalkberg. Aufgefallen ist uns, dass die Altstadt von Lüneburg gut erhalten und gepflegt ist. Außerhalb der Altstadt sieht es leider an vielen Stellen anders aus. Nach dieser ersten Tour in Lüneburg geht es gleich ins Salzmuseum.
