City gate built in 1612 by the Electoral Mainz bailiff Lerch von Dürmstein. Former location at the entrance to the pedestrian zone. When the city fortifications were demolished by the roller mill in 1812, it was bought and placed here as a courtyard gate. Restored in 1978.
