Crash site of a Lancaster NE 114 bomber of the 166th Squadron, who crashed here on 23.05.1944 after a night bombing on Dortmund over Scholler. 2 members of the 7-member team survived the crash and were taken prisoner. The other members were first buried in the North Cemetery and reburied after the war on a military cemetery.
