(without being an art historian, the following comment on the figure of Mary): If the Mother of God is shown standing on a (golden) crescent moon and with a star wreath around her head, it is typically the depiction of the apocalyptic woman (from the "Revelation of John") . Then - as a rule - a dragon should also be seen under her feet, which she tramples, but which is missing here.

Hiking

The Ebensfeld field chapel with the sandstone statue of the Queen of Heaven Mary with the Christ Child from 1725 was originally located on the southwestern outskirts of Ebensfeld and found a new location here with a surrounding rest area as part of the land consolidation.
