Bernard the beaver lives in his beaver lodge next to the visitor center. When he wakes up one morning, he notices unfamiliar footprints around his burrow. He decides to look for the maker of those strange tracks. Along the way he meets several friends and must cross a log bridge, crawl into a bird's nest, step across the water, complete a totter course and much more.
The Totter Trail is a 1 mile adventure trail for children ages 3 to 12 that departs and arrives at the Visitor Center. The path runs through the Grote Nete to the small nature reserve De Vloyen. You pass a tree trunk bridge, wooden beams, willow tunnels and a bird cage at a height of three meters, which you can climb into. The walking loop is a natural play paradise for anyone who is young or still feels young enough. But be careful that you don't 'tutter' ('fall') or just do, because getting dirty is very ok here! You can just walk the path as a family while playing and romping or you can explore the Totterpad together with fun hands-on assignments using a map. Children then go out with Bernard the beaver who is looking for the "culprit" who has made tracks around his beaver lodge.More info at natuurpunt.be/departments/natuurpark-grote-netewoud/totterpad
