The roof garden of the University Library in Warsaw is one of the largest roof gardens in Europe, attracting students, residents and tourists. It consists of two parts: upper and lower, offering picturesque landscapes, fountains, sculptures and a wealth of plants composed according to the dominant colors. The terrace offers a view of Warsaw and the Vistula.

The garden on the roof of the University of Warsaw Library covers an area of over 1 hectare. It is considered one of the largest and most beautiful in Europe. It was opened in 2002 and designed by landscape architect Irena Bajerska. The garden is open to the public, so it can be visited not only by students and university staff. Admission is free.

The garden consists of two parts - upper and lower, connected by a stream with cascading water. There you can admire many different species of plants planted in different thematic parts. These include: Golden, Silver, Carmine and Blue Gardens. All parts are connected by footbridges, paths, bridges and pergolas.

From the bridges and the observation deck you can admire one of the most beautiful panoramas of Warsaw. Through special windows or a glass roof you can also see the interior of the library from above. Another attraction is the granite sculptures by Ryszard Stryjecki that decorate the lower garden.
