“Franz Marc and the Colorful Town Musicians” – Class 3a, 2018/19, Burgsitzschule Spangenberg, Head: Ms. Dorothee Weisel-Müller: “In art class, the students of 3a worked on a Franz Marc workshop and were excited about how he matched the character traits of the gave certain colors to animals and combined them with shapes.

The colors for the Bremen Town Musicians were therefore assigned corresponding feelings: The rooster is colorful because it has had a colorful life and can crow loudly and happily. Red is intended for the cat, as it is sometimes angry and can claw bloody. Green for the dog means that he also eats grass and is otherwise a bon vivant. For its liveliness and notorious stubbornness, the donkey is given the color blue.

The black background symbolizes the animals' mood: sadness, loneliness and cruelty that they experienced due to the poor treatment of their previous owners. The animals are white on the back as a sign of the peace won” (Dorothee Weisel Müller). The work was technically supported by Steel and Art, Ron Mörseburg, Spangenberg Mörshausen. Great adaptation of the fairy tale. Unfortunately it was a bit of a mess when we were there.
