The former border between the county of Hesse-Darmstadt and the county of Solms-Laubach is still largely marked today by 43 distinctive boundary stones between Seenbrücke and Wetterfeld. With two exceptions, the "round stone" near a wet biotope and a very wide specimen on the "Einfirste", they are numbered consecutively, marked as coat of arms stones with the Hessian and Solmser lions and bear the year 1756.

Numerous boundary stones from 1756 with the two lion coats of arms and the HD and SL initials show the old border between the then Landgraviate of Hessen-Darmstadt and the County of Solms-Laubach. Solms-Laubach fell in 1806 through mediation to the Hesse-Darmstadt, which had risen to become the Grand Duchy.
