The Ophover mill probably dates from the 14th century. Its name comes from the noble family of "von Ophoven", who had their farm on the grounds of the nearby moth and operated the mill. In 1639 Tewis (Mathaeus) Vell Müller was the Ophover mill (dat Müllerken uff der Freyheit).

Delicious mill beer, three types and seasonal beer. The menu is varied. The restaurant is usually well attended. In addition to the very cozy restaurant rooms, there is a large, glass-roofed inner courtyard and spacious open terraces.
