A highlight of the hike is the nature reserve Kanzelstein, an old Hutewald, which was used as cattle pasture and also for livestock. Today, the tree-tops are apparently still pruned. The vertex is an old form of forestry, in which by the pruning of the trees cattle feed and litter (Laubheu), was won. Even juniper stands freely between the trees.
