The Holm is one of the oldest parts of Schleswig. The foundation goes back to the year 1000. It is still a fishing settlement today, although there are not that many fishermen left on the Holm. In the middle of the complex is the cemetery with a small chapel. The term Holm has Danish roots and means "small island". And in fact, until the beginning of the last century you could only reach the Holm via a bridge.
