The high-gabled old town hall from the late Middle Ages was built between 1460 and 1480 as “the citizen's house”. It served as the seat of the city administration and the court, as a department store, dance floor and fruit floor. The “white gold” was stored under the Renaissance gable of the salt house. In the 19th century, the Fruchtboden was also a laundry drying area and gym for the first Leonberger gymnastics club. For the city's anniversary in 1998, the old town hall was restored true to the original.
