It is a cross basilica in neo-gothic style, based on early French gothic. The church tower is 77.2 m high, making it 31st on the list of tallest church towers in the Netherlands. The tower is topped by a sharp needle spire with flanking turrets. This dominates Woerden's profile from afar.
