Hiking

The Lange See and the surrounding wetland emerged from a meander loop of the primeval Main. It is the only natural lake of the numerous lakes in the Kahler Seenplatte. (The other water areas go back to the former open-cast lignite mines and sand and gravel pits that were developed at the end of the 19th century)
