Pieschener Allee begins across from Ballhaus Watzke. This four-row avenue of lime trees was laid out around 1720 and was part of a baroque park that was oriented towards the residential palace, but was never implemented. Some linden trees are still preserved from this period. It was used as a coal and scrap storage area and as a wild garbage dump, causing major damage at the end of the 19th century. At the beginning of the 20th century, large-scale replanting took place. Today this two-kilometer-long avenue is a natural monument. Many breeding bird species and the only population of the nearctic longhorn beetle in Europe are at home here.
