Since the Middle Ages, a ford has been used at this spot to connect two trade routes. In the 17th century, a wooden bridge was first built here. This was replaced in 1833 by a stone bridge with two arches, and it still exists in this form today. The old trade routes now only have historical value; this bridge is a testament to them.
