Located on the Jümme, Neuburg, along with Amdorf, is the only village between Jümme and Leda.
In the middle of the very small village we find the small church, located on a mound, with a separate and really crooked church tower, which leaves a rustic impression.
All in all, the church with its adjoining buildings looks charming.

story
It is still unknown when the first church was built in Amdorf. Today's church is at least the third in the place whose parish is mentioned in 1475 in a tax list of the bishop of Münster. In 1628 the church in Amdorf collapsed after a storm. A new church was then built and consecrated on June 18, 1634. This was in poor structural condition in the 18th century and was considered in danger of collapsing. It was therefore removed in 1779 and replaced by a rectangular hall church with pilaster structures and arched windows.
The tower of the parallel wall type is older and is dated to 1664.
On January 1, 1975, the previously independent parishes, each with their own places of worship in Amdorf and Neuburg, merged to form the Amdorf/Neuburg parish. With around 240 parishioners, this is the smallest in the church district.[1]
