The inscription "In memory of the happy return of Gustav Eugen Albert von Imhoff from the victorious campaign" is carved into this memorial stone, surrounded by a stone wreath of oak leaves. This refers to the Franco-Prussian War of 1870/1871. Gustav von Imhoff served in the 1st Artillery Regiment Prince Luitpold of the 1st Bavarian Army Corps and was awarded the Iron Cross Second Class for his services on July 16, 1871.
