History: The original stone wayside cross was erected in 1697 at an old crossroads on Steigweg. Its name derives from a distinctive metal weather vane attached to the top of the cross.
The base: The current solid Baroque base dates from 1783 and was donated by the then mayor, Franz Kaltenbach.
