Mountain biking

The Achtersee, west of Wiener Neustadt, is a body of water formed from two former gravel pits, whose name refers to its shape resembling the number eight. The area has developed into a popular urban recreational area that, in addition to bathing areas, also hosts playgrounds, sports facilities, and the beach club „Himmelblau“. To ensure the safety of visitors on the partly steep banks, the facility has been gradually redesigned in recent years and equipped with controlled access.
