The original observation tower was built in 1903, but was unfortunately later destroyed. In 2007, the observation tower was rebuilt and rewards all visitors after climbing (around 100 steps) with a breathtaking view of the region.

The lookout point offers visitors an unforgettable view of the Rosalia region

Already at the beginning of the 20th century there was a lookout point near Sauerbrunn, which guests liked to visit. The newly built tower is located on the western outskirts of Bad Sauerbrunn (the climb begins just behind the 4-star hotel "Haus Esterházy") in the center of an existing network of hiking trails, Nordic walking routes and mountain bike trails.

In a unique way, the spiral staircase with 133 steps winds around a 100-year-old tree trunk up to a height of 25 meters. From the platform, the visitor has an unforgettable view of the Rosalia Mountains and Lake Neusiedl.

In Bad Sauerbrunn, families have the opportunity to see the surroundings from above from the observation tower.

Children and parents have to climb 133 steps if they want to go up the Bad Sauerbrunn observation tower. The climb is definitely worth it, because the view stretches over the Rosalien Mountains to Lake Neusiedl and even to Sopron and Bratislava. The 28-meter-high tower winds around a 100-year-old tree trunk.

From the platform at a height of 25 m, parents and children can enjoy an unforgettable view over the Rosalien Mountains to Lake Neusiedl and, on nice days, even to Sopron/Ödenburg, Bratislava/Pressburg and to Schneeberg.

The observation tower at the Florianikreuz on the western edge of Bad Sauerbrunn can be reached either from the path to the right of the fire department or via Kirchengasse straight ahead into the forest, always following the road.
