The strangely shaped mountain spur Kienbein shows at its peak at the Karlslinde (712 m) as well as at the Deckelesfels and Seizenfels the landscape-forming characteristics of the hard mass limestones particularly clearly. - The Karlslinde was named Friendenslinde in 1871 and after the Württemberg King Karl. - Shards in the area as well as the queer wall at the narrowest point of the small 》 mountain peninsula《 indicate settlement in the Hallstadt period (early Iron Age, 800-500 BC), to which the burial mounds at Burrenhoff and the Heuneburg near Riedlingen are also assigned.
