Haltern Telecommunications Tower

Here is the highest point of the Hohe Mark around Haltern. Some paths come together from all directions. The former telecommunications tower is still an imposing landmark.

FuÜSt Haltern 2 on the Waldbeerenberg

The Haltern telecommunications tower in Haltern am See was built in 1973. The telecom designation of the telecommunications tower is FuÜSt Haltern 2. It is a so-called type tower FMT 1 made of reinforced concrete.
The tower is located in the Hohe Mark Nature Park on the Waldbeerenberg. Its height is 111.35 m and there are three platforms at heights of 50, 59 and 67 meters.
The operating floor, consisting of two floors, extends between the lowest platform and the middle platform. On the tower there are systems for the distribution of cellular and directional radio.
