The Roman Museum Haltern is located on the grounds of the largest Roman camp along the Lippe. From here, the great campaigns to Germania were planned and carried out - probably also the campaign against Arminius, the Cherusci.

In the museum you can not only marvel at exhibits, but also immerse yourself in the everyday life of a Roman legionnaire. Use wooden pens to write on wax tablets, shoulder the marching baggage and examine a true-to-life tent. The highlight of the museum is the replica wall of the Roman camp in the outer area.

    Opening hours:
    Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday 9am to 5pm
    Thursday 9am to 7pm
    Saturday, Sunday & holidays 10am to 6pm

    Ticket prices:
    Adults 5 euros
    Children (6 to 17 years) 1.50 Euro
    Family ticket 10 euros

Interesting "fortification" in replica. The costs compared to Xanten are high. When using the Ruhrtopcard but still affordable. The temporary exhibitions are worth their money in any case, but unfortunately not included in the Ruhrtopcard.
Attention: Kombiticktes are not always possible with Ruhrtopcard, inform in advance and calculate how it is cheaper.
