The White Venn, also known as the White Venn-Geisheide, is a fascinating nature reserve in North Rhine-Westphalia that offers a special mix of moorland, dwarf shrub heaths and sandy dunes. This area is particularly valuable due to its diverse flora and fauna, including rare plant species and endangered animal species.

The area extends over several hectares and is surrounded by a network of hiking and cycling trails that allow you to explore the landscape without directly entering the sensitive ecosystem. Due to its location on a former military training area, access to the core area is strictly regulated to protect the natural environment.

A highlight of the White Venn are the reed grass meadows and birch forests that surround the moor. This combination of different habitats makes the White Venn an important refuge for many species of birds and other wildlife.
