    Monks
The almost 1,000 km long cycle path follows in the footsteps of the monks who brought Christianity to the north in the Middle Ages. Scenic paths lead from Bremen to Lower Saxony, Schleswig-Holstein and Denmark through a landscape shaped by centuries-old churches.

From St. Peter's Cathedral in Bremen, the route runs to the artists' village of Fischerhude and the monasteries in Zeven and Harsefeld. Fascinating is the drive through the Alte Land, the largest fruit growing area in Northern Europe. Here one looks from the Elbe dike to big pots from all over the world. After the picturesque Hanseatic city of Stade, it goes from Wischhafen with the Elbe ferry across the broad river in the Schleswig-Holstein Glückstadt. On idyllic paths on the Stördeich and in Segeberger Forst you can enjoy the peace and quiet. The monastery Nütschau makes the traditional life of the Benedictine monks come alive. Embedded in the hilly landscape of Holstein Switzerland are numerous lakes as well as the castles of Plön and Eutin. On the coast, it goes to white Baltic beaches, the monastery Cismar and the sun island Fehmarn.

In Denmark Munkevejen continues from Rödby to Roskilde.
The Mönchsweg combines nature and culture experiences and is a pleasure for body and soul.

Quietly conquer a bench on the dike and look for the big pots.
