The trail begins after a steep descent from the lookout point at a crossroads to Hermann-Löns-Weg. He is a bit rooty and stony, but not blocked. Can be ridden quickly, but watch out for sandy passages! The trail ends at a Northshore over a moor. Short but still recommended!

Here you can choose an alternative route section for the Holzbergtrail. Instead of going down to the main road, just turn right. There you go over root and with some jumps down the mountain. The boardwalk marks the end of the offshoot. Please do not fall into the moor! ;)
