The small town of Wilsede in the heart of the Lüneburg Heath is a sleepy nest almost all year round! However, when the sun shines in August and the heather starts to bloom, visitors from all over the world come to enjoy the beautiful heather landscape. In the heart of the Lüneburg Heath nature reserve lies the idyllic and car-free heath village of Wilsede. What makes Wilsede special is that it can only be reached on foot, by bicycle, or by horse-drawn carriage.
