Location: Gransee, Oberhavel, Ruppiner Lakeland, Brandenburg, Germany
We walk down the street, separated by houses to the wall, with pretty little houses. A little further on, the Franciscan monastery, built around 1280, later a school until 1963, is currently not accessible. We walk further, see the powder tower from the 15th century and reach the Ruppiner Gate. High up in front of us is the gate, the only surviving city gate in the city, built in the brick Gothic style, we see a Hernhut star above. Opposite we find the local museum and the hospital chapel, like the powder tower and the inside of the city gate, unfortunately everything is closed today.
The hospital was destroyed by fire in 1711.
