On your hike on the Lönspfad you will encounter a special nature project in the Wistinghauser Senne: since 2011 you have been hiking through a natural landscape full of Scottish highland cattle and Exmoor ponies. These animals support the preservation of the heather and alpine pastures here. Hiking trails still lead through there. A unique and wonderful experience!

This beautiful nature + animal landscape has existed since 2011. Before that, the forest was just forest.
The horses and cattle are not disturbed by bicycles passing by.
