The Teutoburg Forest, colloquially called Teuto, is up to 446.4 m above sea level. NHN [1] high low mountain range of the Lower Saxony mountain country in Lower Saxony and North Rhine-Westphalia, which extends from Tecklenburger country near Hörstel in the northwest among other things past Osnabrück and Bielefeld to Horn-Bad Meinberg in the southeast.Nationally known is the Teutoburg Forest especially by the Varus Battle (also known as the Battle of the Teutoburg or Teutoburg) between Romans and Teutons in 9 AD. Among the tourist attractions include the Hermannsdenkmal and the natural monuments of the Externsteine and Dörenther cliffs. Highest mountain is the Barnacken.
