The Carnavalet - History of Paris museum is the oldest museum in the City of Paris. It opened to the public on February 25, 1880 in the Hotel Carnavalet located in the heart of the Marais, one of the districts of the capital where the architectural heritage is particularly well preserved.

I was in the museum when there were photos on display by the famous Parisian photographer Henry Cartier-Bresson. Until October 31, 2021, you can admire his works and learn a lot about his life in the extraordinary Parisian "Museum of Local History".
It is very nice to have a glass of wine in the inner courtyard after visiting the museum.
