The mill shop has been closed since January 28, 2023. Nevertheless, it is a nice place with a weir for the Mühlkanal. In front of the weir, the Metter forms a calm expanse of water in which the trees are reflected. There you can let your soul dangle.

In 1963 master miller Werner Hübner bought the outdated property 'Mettermühle' in Bietigheim from master miller Karl Limbach.

Over the next three decades, the old house was demolished and rebuilt at great expense. The silo system was modernized and the mill was rebuilt again and again.

Master miller Hübner was one of the first mills in the district to set up a mill shop.

In 1996 the current owner, Jürgen Hübner, joined the company. By then, he had been able to gather many years of experience in the well-known Rommelmühle as head miller.

Since the sudden death of the company founder in 1998, Jürgen Hübner and his wife Susanne have managed the Mettermühle alone.
