Tips
The U-shaped dike runs for several kilometers first along the Emster Canal, then parallel to the south bank of the Rietzer See and finally back towards the Strengsee through the middle of the extensive salt marshes. The dike is partially framed by a dense, up to 3m high band of reeds.
