The hamlet of Oberwintersbach, consisting of only a few scattered houses, is the highest (permanently populated) place in the Spessart. In the immediate vicinity of Geißhöhe, 521m high. The border between the districts of Miltenberg and Aschaffenburg also runs here on the outskirts. Last but not least, the name Oberwintersbach says it all. The Geißhöhe is a rather draughty high plateau, here the winter feels very different than in the valley of Elsava or Main and it also lasts correspondingly longer.
