The Alte Schulweg in the Spessart is a historical route that leads from Lohr am Main to Gemünden am Main. The path was used in the Middle Ages by students who went to school from Lohr to Gemünden. The path is about 12 kilometers long and leads through the Spessart Forest, past old mills, castles and churches. The path is now a popular hiking trail that allows you to experience the history and nature of the Spessart.
