The mill was in use until 1925. In 1966, a mill museum was established. De Valk has 7 floors that are accessible to the public. It is the only original city miller's house preserved in the Netherlands.

With its seven floors and 29 meters high, the De Valk Mill Museum is hard to miss.

After the death of the last miller, the mill became a museum in 1966. The only surviving municipal miller's house in the Netherlands exudes the atmosphere of the time around 1900. The knives turn regularly and from the position you have a wonderful view of Leiden.
