DNT Glitterheim

Glitterheim is one of the many manned huts that dot Jotunheimen National Park.

Perched at 1,400 meters above sea level, it is an excellent base camp for hiking. From the refuge, access to 2,000 meter peaks such as Glittertinden, Nautgardstinden, Memurutinden and Trollsteineggje is easy.

The refuge offers accommodation and catering. As a precaution, in high season, do not hesitate to book to ensure a place.

Good overnight accommodation with and without a tent

Beautifully situated hut on the banks of the Veo. Ideal starting point for climbing Glittertinden (Norway's second highest mountain). Here it can be comfortable in the sleeping camp and cfw. stay cheap. There are warm showers and a drying room.

As usual for mountain huts, the food is quite expensive. For once, after a long, cold, wet day of hiking, we treated ourselves to it - and we weren't disappointed. There was a wide buffet of regional dishes. From freshly baked bread to fresh salmon and reindeer tongue (^^).
