      On November 7, 2004, the memorial sculpture "A Time for Healing" by sculptor Michael Pohlmann was inaugurated on the Kall Bridge near the Mestrenger Mill amid great sympathy. It commemorates the unofficial ceasefire that the German medical officer Dr. Günther Stüttgen negotiated with the Americans in November 1944. It was used to rescue wounded on both sides and to exchange medicines. In September 2005, an information board explaining the background to this event was put up next to the sculpture.
