The viewpoint offers a stunning panoramic view of this vast volcanic landscape, characterised by extensive areas of lava flows and sparse vegetation. From the viewpoint, you can appreciate the grandeur of nearby volcanoes, such as the San Juan volcano and the Teneguía volcano, the latter being the most recent volcano to erupt on the island in 1971. In addition to the natural beauty of the surroundings, the Mirador del Llano del Jable is also a popular spot for stargazing due to the low light pollution in the area. The island of La Palma has been designated as a Starlight Reserve by UNESCO due to its exceptional quality for astronomical observation.
